You also have to consider the motherboard used.
Some may only have 2 memory bays, which limits your choices for upgrading and also may have a limited maximum amount of ram it can use. It may also be limited as far as what CPUs in can be upgraded to.

I have also seen the power supply in some Dells cause a problem during replacement because the original is an odd size and aftermarket PSUs did not fit in the same space.

No you are incorrect. If the market share (for home users) on either Mac or Linux went up as high as you say, then there would be an increase in social engineering geared towards those operating systems. Viruses are another thing entirely. Unix-like operating systems aren’t stupidly designed to automatically launch an executable, in fact they have to be launched by the user and given root access to do any serious effect, hence why I say they would be a target for Social Engineering (Trojans) and not Viruses.

There is also the fact that people are not the root users (Administrators) by default on Unix-like operating systems.

Social Engineering relies on gullible users, not a faulty security setup.

Obviously, they’re not going to play anything from a game console (i.e. PS3, Wii, XB360), but otherwise, yeah. Most games are sadly Windows-exclusive, but it’s pretty trivial to install Windows on a modern (Intel-based) Mac; all you need is the Windows installer CD/DVD and the Boot Camp utility that’s included on the Mac. Then you can reboot into Windows when you want a gaming fix, and switch back over to OS X to get the real stuff done. You should preferentially use DVI or HDMI though, because that’s a digital signal. VGA is analog.

The first thing it depends on is when you placed the order. You said “Like two days ago”, does that mean two days ago or around two days ago?

You also have to consider that it IS the weekend, and non-business days are not counted in the 3-day shipping calculation.

So, let’s say you ordered it on Thursday night, it would probably ship on Friday morning.

Then you also have to consider how far away you are from the shipping center.

All in all, I would expect it Tuesday, but it could very well arrive on Monday, Wednesday or even Thursday.

Cards below that level like the GeForce 210 and Radeon HD 5450 are MUCH weaker…. Fine for everyday use and watching movies, but too slow for gaming. Those $40 cards are basically a waste of money for gaming, because spending another $10 gets you something twice as fast.

If you want to install higher-end cards like a Radeon HD 5670, GeForce GTS 450 or better, you’d need to buy a new power supply in addition to the card.

Acer is actually a pretty big name in the computer market, I have a travelmate and it is honestly a good dependable laptop. The computer was cheaper and offered some pretty high end hardware so I snatched it up. If anything I would say Acer is your next best thing to building your own machine because they include very sizable hard drives and some of the best Intel processors so they are great for doing just that.

Acer computers are pretty good. I was thinking about buying one myself. You can get internet, word processing, watch movies, burn CDs and DVDs. They work as well as any other computer. They are also great if you don’t want to spend a ton on money. And if you want to ever increase the hard drive, RAM, get new software, etc. You can always do that.
