Turning 40 isn’t quite as scary as it was for our mothers or grandmothers as 40 is no longer considered middle-aged but rather as the starting point of life. The saying goes: life begins at 40! These days age is more a state of mind and it’s certainly no surprise that many a forty year old man or woman is looking rather fabulous to say the least. What makes the neatest 40th birthday gifts for the hip new age fabulous 40 birthday person? Let’s see what was I doing on my 40th? Oh dear that’s not such a good trip down memory lane for me as I am certain that I had just been dumped by a younger man! After spending the morning of my 40th birthday bawling my eyes out; I gasped as my mirror revealed a haggard old looking woman staring back at me! Not a great start to my 40th milestone birthday that’s for sure!

After putting a new much more presentable face on and dressing up for a night out on the town with my terrific group of girlfriends that were nothing short of hell-bent on making my 40th birthday a night to remember; it was a round of Cowboys and then my best friend pinned the fabulous “Kiss Me. Its My Birthday” badge to my shirt and we were all set for a magnificent night of partying and celebrations with no ex in sight!

Other 40th Birthday Gifts that I got include gorgeous toasting champagne glasses engraved with Happy 40th Birthday and then some other humorous After a few drinks, we were competing with each other to live up to the fun and frolic image that the messages portrayed. And it was great to be the centre of attention among guys as well! With that t-shirt badge I could not have expected any less, I guess! I also received the more sedate gifts – a pen set, perfumes and even a cute teddy bear that really took me back in time to my childhood. All in all it was a night worth remembering – I can’t thank my friends enough!

Other gifts I received include a vouchers for 40 year olds booklet from my son’s girl-friend as she thought I could appreciate the humor in it. Basically, you shouldn’t be worried about turning 40. It’s a great age and you need to celebrate it! So, go ahead and pamper yourselves with a good bra and an expensive makeup set! You truly deserve it.

Actually I often look fondly at the photos of my friends and I from that great night out which are displayed in my beautiful, brushed silver tone, diamante encrusted flip album – a present of course. I wonder what mischief we will get up to for the next 40th which is happening in two months time! I’d better get online and find some fabulous 40th birthday gifts and accessories because I do believe I am the party organizer for this fabulous 40th event!
